Holger Kaus

Holger Kaus began his career in 1991 as a sales assistant at Magellan, an interior design and decorating company in Munich. In order to gain a wide variety of practical experience, the native of Frankfurt then took several internships, including at Knecht & Partner in Zurich as well as at Salim Wohnen in Waldshut. This was followed by training as a retail clerk at “the” establishment of Beringer & Koettgen in Munich. Holger Kaus then went to London and studied design history as well as interior design and landscape gardening at the Inchbald School of Design from 1993-1996.

In 1997, the young interior designer established his first company, HKC - Holger Kaus Creative, in Frankfurt am Main, working mainly with international customers. Together with the art historian Petra Meyer, Holger Kaus opened the gallery Kaus & Meyer in the same year, first in Dreieich-Buchschlag and then in the Westend area of Frankfurt. After several years of successful collaboration, Ms Meyer withdrew from the operation to better devote herself to her family. Since then she has been working on a partnership basis with Holger Kaus providing consulting services.

In 2006, he relocated the company to Tegernsee, where he successfully works as an interior and landscape designer for renowned clients from home and abroad. Individual and unique products bear his signature. Holger Kaus' domain, the Gugghof near Miesbach, has not only made a name for itself among international customers for interior design and landscape gardening, but has also become an established cultural meeting place.
